Location:
2 Rifles Butt Road Deans Marsh
Client:
Surf Coast Shire
Highlights:
The subdivision required careful consideration of the environmental sensitivities of the 150-hectare farm and lot layout in preserving some 40,000 native trees (and blue gum plantation) planted by our clients, who purchased the once poorly eroded farm more than 40 years ago. An excellent example of good farm and land management, which we convinced Council needed to support its continuation.
A balance between traditional agriculture and agroforestry and the desire for our clients to downsize the lot holdings but remain on the farm.
Result: Planning permit achieved, addressing new bushfire policies during Council submission.
PAR Achieved:
PAR Planning supporting Farm Succession Planning
